Cone Beam Computed Tomography
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) provides detailed, three-dimensional images of bones and is performed to evaluate diseases of the jaw, dentition, bony structures of the face, nasal cavity and the nasal sinuses. Used in the following procedures:
– Planning for surgery on impacted teeth and extraction of the third molar.
– Diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ).
– Accurate placement of dental implants.
– Evaluation of the jaws, paranasal sinuses, nerve channels and nasal cavity.
– Detection, measurement and treatment of tumors of the jaw.
– Determination of bone structure and tooth orientation for orthodontic cases.
