Fixed Dental Bridge
Rehabilitation Treatment
It is a restoration that replaces the loss of a tooth quickly and somewhat economically.
It consists of the carving of the adjacent teeth where the bridge will rest to support the pontic or the piece that will replace the tooth.
This procedure is recommended if the adjacent teeth had already been previously operated on with endodontics or if they already had severe wear or some other condition that warrants carving. It is not recommended if the adjacent teeth already have mobility or any other condition that requires extraction in the short term.
If the adjacent teeth are healthy and do not require grinding, an implant is most recommended.
The most common bridge is the one with three units, but it can have more units depending on the case.
